REFERRALS FOR FAMILY SUPPORT

If you are a professional and would like to refer a family please contact

Hayley Ronald – Senior Family Coordinator

(07804519622 M, W, Th 9am-5pm)

via email hayley.ronald@hseeb.org.uk

We operate a TRIAGE process for all referrals, this is to ensure that the needs of the families are appropriate for Home-Start support and because we run different Early Help family support projects. (Please read the information below before contacting us and ensure you have spoken to the family about Home-Start and gained consent to share their information with us).

Our core Home-Visiting support, for families with children under 5, will be delivered by staff or trained volunteers and consists of a range of support including remote support, support within the families home or community and signposting to other organisations and sources of advice.

We have specific Early Help projects to support families whose children are Over 5, have additional needs or are seeking parenting support and during the perinatal period.

We will contact you by phone and you will be able to discuss the needs of the family and a decision will be made jointly as to the appropriateness of a referral to HSEEB for support.  A referral form will be emailed to you via a secure link and once we have received this we will discuss and allocate to a member of the team.  We will then inform you what type of support we will offer the family and who will be providing this. If the referral is declined we will discuss with you other options for support within the statutory or voluntary sector. We are always happy to discuss the needs of families and help you to source the support that will best suit their needs.

The majority of our families receive Early Help support at Level 2, and our decision making is based on Surrey Safeguarding  Children Partnership Levels of need.  For more information please see:

https://www.surreyscp.org.uk/about-us/local-safeguarding-arrangements/effective-family-resilience-levels-of-need/

For families whose needs are best met at Level 3 or 4 or you are concerned about a child please contact: Surrey C-SPA 0300 470 9100 or cspa@surreycc.gov.uk

If you are unsure if the family you would like to refer lives in an area we cover please first check by using https://www.gov.uk/council-tax.

The family needs to pay council tax to Epsom & Ewell, Reigate & Banstead or Mole Valley and live within our local Home-Start area.  Please also see the map of Surrey Home-Starts and areas covered by each local Home-Start.
