Become a Trustee
WE ARE CURRENTLY RECRUITING TRUSTEES, INCLUDING A FUTURE CHAIR OF TRUSTEES
Home-Start Epsom Ewell and Banstead is an independent charity with Trustees being responsible for directing the management and administration of the charity. Trustees have a wide range of roles, but are primarily responsible for making the charity effective, providing overall direction and maintaining sound management of funds. The skills they provide can include:
- Fundraising and/or events
- PR/Media Skills
- General business management
- Financial and legal expertise
- IT knowledge
- Human resources experience
- Background in Perinatal or SEND services
- Knowledge of family support issues in the community
Trustees provide ongoing support to the internal team, and meet 6-9 times a year to ensure the charity is delivering its vision.
Home-Start Epsom Ewell and Banstead Trustees have a variety of skills and experience and are from a wide range of backgrounds. Being a Trustee can be hard work but it is also very rewarding, giving many chances for personal development and the chance to give something back to your local community. Trustees can access training and support from the Home-Start UK Regional Coordinator and there are opportunities to network with Trustees from other schemes in the region.
Without volunteer Trustees, Home-Start Epsom Ewell and Banstead couldn’t function and both families and children wouldn’t get the support they need.
